Pollen is a local AI grammar and spelling tool for Mac. It runs a small language model entirely on your device, so your text is corrected instantly without ever being sent to a server.

Does Pollen send my data to the cloud?

No. All text processing happens locally on your Mac. Pollen never transmits, stores, or logs anything you write — not even anonymized data. An account is required for licensing purposes only.

Does Pollen work offline?

Yes, completely. Pollen runs a bundled on-device model with no internet connection required. Once installed, it works anywhere, anytime.

Yes. Because Pollen never sends your text off your device, there is nothing to intercept or breach. Your writing is processed entirely in local memory and is never stored anywhere.

Does Pollen work on Mac?

Pollen is built exclusively for Mac. It integrates at the system level so it works in any application — not just browsers or specific apps.

Pollen includes a free 6-week trial. After that it is $3.45 a month. A card is required to start, and you can cancel anytime before the trial ends.

How does Pollen use AI?

Pollen bundles a small language model (SLM) directly in the app. When you trigger the hotkey, the model reads your highlighted text, corrects grammar and spelling, and pastes the result back — all in local memory on your Mac.

What makes Pollen different from Grammarly?

Grammarly processes your text on its servers, which means everything you write passes through their infrastructure. Pollen runs entirely on your Mac — your text never leaves your device, and no account data is tied to your writing.
